Saint Alexius, protector of the homeless and patron of the Alexian Brothers, we ask you to accompany and strengthen the Alexian Brothers in their ministry, so that they may continue to care for the sick, the elderly, the lonely, and all those in need. Grant them strength, patience, and open hearts, so that even amid the challenges of today’s world they may remain faithful to their mission and bring hope where there is pain and sorrow. We ask that you also call new, committed young people into their community, so that the spirit of mercy and loving service may continue to live on. Strengthen in them day by day the truth: “The love of Christ compels us.” May this be a source of strength and guidance for them, so that their lives may become a gift to others. Amen.
