Prayer for Vocations

Saint Alexius, shining witness to humility and faithful follower of Christ, look kindly upon our community! You who chose the treasures of God’s kingdom over the fleeting glory of this world, strengthen us to walk faithfully along the path of love and mercy. Accompany us in our ministry as we turn to the sick, the elderly, the poor and all who suffer. Grant that our hands may be instruments of comfort, our words bearers of hope, and our lives a living witness to Christ’s mercy. We ask you to intercede with our heavenly Father, that the Holy Spirit may awaken new vocations within our Congregation. May He call courageous and generous hearts who will joyfully leave everything behind for Christ’s sake and offer their lives in the quiet service of love. Preserve and bless the communities of the Alexian Brothers throughout the world, in Ireland, Hungary, Germany, Belgium, the Philippines and America. Grant that we may faithfully preserve the heritage of nearly eight hundred years entrusted to us, and that we may always radiate the light of mercy to those who thirst for hope, comfort and love. Lead us always in the footsteps of Christ, so that at the end of our earthly pilgrimage we may rejoice with him in our eternal homeland.
