Evening Prayer

Heavenly Father, at this hour of the evening, we give You thanks for this day, which You have given us as a gift. We thank you for the moments we have experienced, both the joys and the challenges, which all shape our lives. We ask you to bless our loved ones and protect them from all harm and illness. Grant that our love and understanding may always be strong, and help us to stand by one another despite our difficulties. Bless the world with peace and love. Help us to understand and accept one another, and to build a brighter future for everyone. Amen. 

Prayer for Vocations

Saint Alexius, patron of the Alexian Brothers, we ask you to hear our prayers and help our brothers throughout the world—in Hungary, Ireland, Germany, the Philippines, the United States, and Belgium—so that they may faithfully carry out their ministry. Bless them with strength and wisdom so that they may help those in need in the most appropriate way. Help them to work for the needy in a spirit of love and dedication, and to see Your presence in everyone. Send vocations to their communities and grant them perseverance so that they may serve faithfully even in the midst of difficulties. We ask that, through their work and ministry, more and more people may discover your love and your presence in the world around them. Bless the work of the Alexian Brothers and be with them in every step they take. Amen.
